Salutaguse is a new commercial, industrial and residential development south of Tallinn. The architectural and landscaping solution is planned to be ecological and built around the footprint of the previous manor house and existing well-established trees of the park.
As part of my research, I discovered that the name Salutaguse in Estonian literally translates as “place behind the grove”.
Based on this idea the logo design solution includes the shape of the manor house in the negative area under the trees. The cropped S shape adds perspective and suggests the sweeping paths through the parkland.
